Nugent Santé are proud sponsors of the Triskelion polo team on the Isle of Man.
Independent Financial Adviser, Rebecca Netten, from Nugent Santé’s sister company in the Isle of Man, MAC Financial is the Isle of Man’s top lady polo player and she has put together a team of polo players who compete in the Super League.
We’re thrilled that Rebecca decided to call the team Nugent Santé and to date it is performing rather well!
We have reached the half way point in the 2017-18 Super League where all the best players take to the Grenaby Arena in their teams of two. Over the season each team will play each of the other teams twice and following the break for Christmas and New Year, every team has played each of their opponents once giving us a great opportunity to see how each team is getting on.
Firstly, a massive thank you to Elaine Dewhirst for once again coming down and taking some amazing picture for players and friends of the club to enjoy. At the club we are extremely lucky to have someone as skilled behind a camera and kind as Elaine.
Foraging Vintners lead the way having secured a win in all six of their games so far. A couple of second half comebacks against Nugent Santé and MCPC gave team mates #CAMLAD (Polo Manager, Cameron Houston) and #ZEVILAD (12 year old Zevi Sansbury of Port St. Mary) enough to lead the table. Cameron also leads the Goal Scorers with 53 and Zevi comes in 7th providing another 25.
MCPC (4-2), Nugent Santé (4-2) and Manx Travel (3-2-1) make up the chasing pack each with only two losses in their 6 games making each of their new year’s matches against Foraging Vintners big games.
Triskelion Polo Club’s General Manager, Frazer Houston, hold second place in the goal scorers with 52 goals as he and team mates Peter Mee and Ed Pearson try to drive Manx Travel into contention.
Maddie Bridle and Carly Gough make up the MCPC duo who have managed to put 69 goals past their opponents losing only to the league leaders by a single goal and Manx travel when Carly was replaced with a substitute.
Nugent Santé also sit just off the leaders with Becky Netten pulling the strings for team mate Mel Tymm. Becky holds the 4th spot in the goal scorers with 35 goals which is made more impressive as she has only played 5 games.
Polonium 210, Heart Stoppers and Window World make up the rest of the pack. Reggie Harrison of Polonium 210 and mark Copley of Window world have both found the goal plenty boasting 28 goals each whilst Heart stoppers show good balance with Kevin Valente and Graham Dimelow both getting 20 goals on the board each. Each of these teams sit with 1 win but any of them could push up the table after New Year.
